Day 273: September

Another splattering of what I have for September.

On day 247 we went to a family reunion (my side) held at Caves Beach. The photos were going crazy, our family loves photos. I didnt take any though... Anyway here is a pic of caves beach. It is near Swansea, which is part of Newcastle.

The following day Mark and I went to BJ Westfield (cannot recall why - I HATE that place lol) and then decided that we would go for lunch at Watsons bay which was lovely. We had lunch in that wharf thing they have there.

On days 242-244 we went up to the Hunter Valley for my cousin's wedding. On the friday night Mark and I went for a nice meal out before meeting up with my family at our lodgings. On Saturday, Mark and I went for a walk before a quick trip to Hunter Valley Gardens. I needed a pashmina pronto as it was chiller than expected. I was successful. We decided to get a proper coffee. Our coffees (large FW for Mark and small chai latte for me) cost $13. I thought there must have been gold flecks inside. My chai latte was crapp and was therefore promptly binned so that meant Mark's average coffee cost us $13. CRAZY. lol.

We then went back to our cottage and got madly ready for the wedding. The wedding was lovely although I had to call it an early night around 10ish on account of not feeling well (I had been quite ill the week before). Mark comntinued to carry the flag for me though well into the night.

On the Sunday we went and did some wine tastings. My brothers couldnt believe Mark was up to tasting wine, as they all had partied quite late and hard. They call that the hair of the dog I guess.

We then had a nice lunch at Rock. Which we realised later has 2 hats. Nice one!

On Day 273, I went and visited my friend Susan and her new baby boy in hospital. Her other boy was there too :)

Day 243: August

I have been very slack with blogging but here are a few pics from August.

On day 220, Mark and I took a day trip to Brooklyn and met Bel and John for fish and chips for lunch. The fish was so nice and fresh! We took a little walk to the water's edge.

On day 232-234, we had my brother and his wife and my baby nephew come visit. This is some photos while we are out at brunch at chowder bay.

The breakfast was yum and they even remade it for us from scratch as it went cold when we were tending to nephew's urgent feeding and changing requirements. Now that is what I call good service!

On day 239, Mark and I went to dinner with Danny and Krystal at the good old Belgium beer cafe. I normally go the mussels but on this night I was living on the edge. It was Ok but I would have been better of staying with the mussels.

And thats the only photos I took on my ihpone in August kids!

Day 212: End of July

As you can see I had a great July, especially all my various birthday celebrations in the first half. The rest of the days were spent at work working very long and very hard... Unfortunately it's just that time of year. But amazingly, overall it was still a fabulous month! :)

Day 205: Interstate get together

I caught up with some lovely girls from NSW, Qld, Vic and WA today (and Fri night actually - I was the host for that event at Encasa which was v yum!). Saturday was a food and fashion extravaganza.

This was my first outing in my new car too - it was fun zipping around town in it!

First up was breakfast at Kazbah in Balmain. This place is awesome. Its Turkish I think. We had a set menu. First up was different porridges. Then we got eggs and all the extras plus tangines and then we got giant pancakes. All the food is share platter style. So good but quite rich and very filling.

After breaky we went to Leona and quite a few of us got dresses. I got a great dress myself that the girls helped me picked out.

We then went to Zumbos (from masterchef) and lined up (for a long time!) for macarons and other treats.

Then it was on to high tea at Observatory. This was a lovely afternoon chatting and drinking champagne.

I then headed home for an outfit change and then headed back into town for dinner at China Doll down at Woolloomooloo!

Woah what a day!!! It was great but I was quite buggered by the end of it.
