Day 181: Happy EOFYS

Although I am a CA, its no long Happy EOFY, it is Happy EOFYS thanks to catchy marketing tunes from Foxtel. Back when I started out it 'in the Biz' it was just "30 June Party" cue BIG formal dinner, drinks and dancing, just the way I like it. Sadly this 30 June I worked VERY LATE. We did have a lunch the next day though, that is something I guess... Times are tough people, times are tough!

Day 179: Moroccan Oil

Day 172-173: Trip to our Nation's capital

I had to go to Canberra for work. It was cold. I stayed at the diamant hotel which is quite quirky. Had a yummy breaky at a nearby cafe on day 2. When I arrived back into Sydney airport, I bought a new mimco bag too! Mark could not believe i managed to shop on the way back into Sydney. lol.

Day 171: Fourth Village Providore

Today we had brunch with some friends and their gorgeous baby girl at the 4th village providore restaurant which is attached to the wonderful old fashioned market place Mosman has. Go and check it out. Mine and mark's meals which were both really good. Mark got the tasting plate for something different. I got scrambled eggs as usual!

Day 170: Art to complement new living room

Mark and I got a painting from Jimmy Possum today. We really like the different greens in it. We like abstract art. I have a vision to tie all these loungeroom pieces together. Stay tuned!

Day 168: Like new again

I finally got my watch back after being sent away to Longines for polishing. It wasn't cheap - the polishing cost over $300. But look, it's as good as new again! I love the watch, so definitely worth it.

(Unfortunately, I was a little inebriated at my husband's 30th late last year and fell over in the Cross at the end of the night, I fell watch first and had some scratches around the face. But not on the face as only diamonds can scratch that!).

(Lets hope similar doesn't happen at my upcoming 30th! haha).

Day 166: Look at my fancy Quince and native lime jam

Lovely jam purchased on my weekend down south. Native limes (which are maroon in colour) are so nice! And quince seems to be all the rage these days.

Day 165: Furniture Shopping

My hubby gave me the OK to get new sofas! YAY! We have been looking for the last few weeks. Today we decided on a nice big modular from freedom in a charcoal custom fabric and an occasional chair with matching cushions in a stripey fabric. I cant wait till they arrive in 4-6 weeks! (And goodbye old blue couches).

Day 162-164: Kiama mini break + Gilroys

Mark and I had a lovely weekend down in Kiama and surrounds. We enjoyed Kiama itself then visited about 5 wineries or so. We also went to Berry for lunch and shopping. On the way home we did the skywalk which had fantastic views. I always feel a bit nervous on such heights. I climbed up the extra high tower as well. On the way down I was taking my time so as to not fall to my death but some young 8 year old yelled out "I cant go any faster cos this lady is slow". I told him that I was slow because I didn't want to fall. Grrr. On one night we dined at the hotel. The next night we dined at the one hatted restaurant 55 On Collins. I'm not sure what they did to earn the one hat, but it wasn't food related. Don't get me wrong the food was fine it just was not 1 hat or even 1/2 a hat standard. The service was slow too and they stuffed up my meal. Oh well, I guess you get that out of the big smoke sometimes...

Very green Kiama

We then rushed back to Sydney for dinner with Bel & John at Gilroys (famous for the best snitzel in town!!!).

Day 161: Footy Fever

My work has decided to embrace the world cup. We all got allotted teams - I drew Mexico, Cameroon and Slovenia. I dont like my chances. I got given a hat to help me get in the spirit ;)

Day 157: An aubergine sofa?

We have been going everywhere looking for new sofas. We came across a Plush clearance outlet in Crows Nest. Most stuff was really nice and modern but we did come across this tragic looking couch. Mark said it was actually really comfy! Too bad we are after style as well. Most amusing though. If anyone is after a comfy aubergine modular, head to Plush outlet in Crows Nest!

Day 156: SATC2 & a Crepe Soiree

I went and saw SATC2. I cringed with all the abu dhabi stuff (what were they thinking?) but enjoyed the rest for the most part. Certainly glad I went and saw it!

And how to die for is Carrie's apartment??!!

I then went to a Crepe Soiree at Jewelz' place. It was great! Authentic crepes not the crap food court kind. So yum!

Day 154: Networking in Style

Kim got me on the list for a swish networking event. Started off at the MCA and then we jetted off to Fort Denison for yummy canapes and champagne. There was also a to-die-for cheese bar and a lolly bar! Not bad for FREE. haha. Thanks Kim for the invite! :)

Day 152 : Coconut water

Tried this today as well aware of coconut being awesome from time away at Camp Eden (although people keep telling me the opposite.

Anyhoo, it did not taste nice. Unfortunately.
